Special guest host here on Mutantville Mondays this week, Johnny Brent,o coming at ya with some awesome movie news. Before I go gushing over just how cool this recent development is, I’ll just say that in general I am not a huge fan of this company or the films they churn out. However, I am a big fan of cheesy horror movies in general and who can deny that this latest manuver is nothing short of an example of inspired vision. Who doesn’t love free stuff? How can this not raise the company’s profile? Ok. Ok. So here’s what the fuss is about.
B-Movie giant, Troma has released 150 of their films entirely free on Youtube and Hulu. Titles such as “Poultrygeist: Night Of The Chicken Dead!,” “Garden of the Dead,” “Parts of the Family” and “Demon Among Us” to name a few, all completely free to watch. I took the liberty of checking out a few of them and the quality looks very good. Of course most of the films date back a bit appear in classic 720 x 480.
