This year at Fright Night Film Fest, two stars of The Goonies will be attending. Sean Astin and Corey Feldman will be there promoting there various other films as well, but The Goonies was always a favorite movie of mine as a kid. I thought it did a great job of capturing your imagination and taking you on an adventure. One thing can do at 5pm on Saturday is get your picture taken with Sean and Corey. There is another photo op at 1:30 on Sunday. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there will be a Goonies panel. That would have been interesting. It had to be cool working with Director Richard Donner. If you look at the previous link, I talk about a lot of the films Richard Donner directed. The Goonies was written by none other than Steven Spielberg. The screenplay was written by Chris Columbus. Besides staring Sean Astin and Corey Feldman, it also stars Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Kerri Green, Martha Plimpton, Johnathan Ke Quan, John Matuszak, Robert Davi, Joe Pantoliano and Anne Ramsey.
If you haven’t seen The Goonies I’d have to say, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT??? This is a must see movie right up there with another Sean Astin film Rudy or the Lord of the Ring trilogy which also stars Mr. Astin. The Goonies is a film about a group of kids that find a treasure map when rummaging through some junk in the attic. As you know treasure maps are irresistible to children (and most adults). So they set off to find the treasure. The have a wild adventure that involves a “Baby…Ruth.” It is a really fun movie. Here are some fun videos!
