Looking at Speculative Fiction from Another Dimension.

The Day Twitter Stole @MVP, Brento Leaves Home and Halloween is Around the Corner on Fridays with MVP.

Tales from Mutantville post-production is done!!!

Hooray it’s Fridaaaay!!! That can only mean one thing here on the Mutantville Mothership – that it’s Friday. The workweek is all but over and the weekend is the time where the mutants come alive. It’s been a hectic week for the Mutantville Players as we’ve completed post-production work on the final Tales from Mutantville DVD build. Now all that we’re waiting on is the final DVD artwork so we can get the film online for everyone to buy. This week also saw a return of the Charlotte Film Anarchists group. I always find it refreshing to talk to other filmmakers that are trying to make things happen in the area instead of just sitting around with a sense of entitlement and their hand out waiting for someone to give them a destiny. At MVP we’ve always been about making our own destiny. Speaking of making our destiny – wave a tear-filled hanky and wish old Brento well as he embarks on his first non-MVP side film project this weekend with his production of Take That. We wish Brento well and hope that he makes a good movie for us all to enjoy.

Get the full rundown after the leap!!!

This week also saw the rather unfortunate hacking of the long running Mutantville Twitter account as hackers literally stole our username @mvp out from under us and changed our account first to @MVPlayers and later to @Muntantville. After banging my head against the brick wall that is Twitter support – I decided to settle for @MVPlayers because at least it’s somewhat similar to our previous name and I’m not entirely certain what exactly a “muntant” is supposed to be. So if you’re on Twitter – you don’t have to change anything as you will still be following MVP – but from now on our username will appear as @MVPlayers.

After this weekend, October will be upon us. Be sure to come back for the next installment of Mutantville Mondays as we reveal our plans for this year’s Halloween season. We have plans for several episodes of MVP Mutant Radio throughout the month to keep you up to date on all things pumpkin spiced. We are also co-hosting several screenings with the Back Alley Film Series and the Crownpoint Cinema in Charlotte. Tune in Monday to find out what it’s all about! In the meantime – enjoy your weekend and remember when you’re a Mutantville Player – everyone knows you’re a M. . . V. . . P . . . except for Twitter. Those bastards.
