The Carolina Theatre Needs a Kickstart, MVP’s Angela Interviewed and Mutant TV Galore on Fridays With MVP!

The Carolina Theatre is Kickstarting an Historic Campaign.

Welcome to another edition of Fridays With MVP! This is your humble host and narrator Streebo back with you once again. I’m going to start this edition out a bit differently as I am going to shift the focus over to the Carolina Theatre and their ongoing Kickstarter campaign.

They are raising funds to create an historic exhibit inside the Carolina Theatre. I cannot say this enough that if you are a filmmaker anywhere in the United States that you want your movie to play at the Carolina Theatre. Help recognize it’s rich history by helping them now.

From Meredith Vey’s latest update:
“Thank you Backers – we are more than halfway there to our goal of $13,000 by January 20th to support the Historic Exhibit at the Carolina Theatre of Durham!

For today – 9 days left – we are asking all 72 of our campaign backers to post the Historic Exhibit link to your facebook status. That way you can tell your friends, your friends can tell their friends, their friends can tell their friends and on and on!”

MVP NEWS!!!

The Mutantville Mothership has been abuzz with excitement over the past few months as we have wound up post-production on several projects and expect to have G.H.O.S.T. and Tales From Mutantville available on DVD soon. As those projects wind down, other new projects are starting up. Just this week, Brento began providing constant updates on pre-production of The Metatron Files.

Our good friend and colleague Angela Pritchett was featured in a recent interview over at the Horror Society. In it she discusses reprising her role in Porkchops 3D, the Porkchops sequel, and her time with MVP working on G.H.O.S.T. and Scarecrow At Midnight which she helped to create. Our good buddy Robert W. Filion recently announced that his short film Dummy had been accepted to the upcoming Neveremore Film Festival as had Christopher G. Moore’s Flush With Fear.

MVP wants to send out a big round of congo rats to you all. Keep up the good work. It’s people like you that make the Horror World a better place. Speaking of better places what about the Carolina Theatre? In case you didn’t know, next week Retrofantasma is playing Stanley kubrick’s The Shining. Dare i say “squee?”

Post production is moving along. I have new scripts to work on including the first episode of Muticia’s Movie Morgue and my next feature. Metatron Files is coming in the Spring. Good times. We’re working on a G.H.O.S.T. premiere to celebrate the release of the DVD. Conventions and festivals begin soon after.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program of Mutant TV only on Fridays With MVP!

Since the Carolina Theatre and Retrofantasma are playing The House On Haunted Hill and Let’s Kill Uncle Before Uncle Kills Us tonight why not start out the show with those trailers.
