This has to be a record for repeat appearances on Trailer Park Tuesday here at Mutantville.com. We first posted the trailer to Kevin Smith’s Red State when it was first released back at the end of last year and then again when the first limited theatrical tour was announced and again at the beginning of the month when Red State hit VOD. Even after all of this activity – Red State is still not finished!

This weekend – Red State will receive a one night only limited theatrical release on Sunday September 25th. According to the official Red State website, Kevin Smith will perform a live Q&A session after the screening via twitter. MVP plans to be on hand for the screening to finally have a chance to see Red State after plans to see the intial tour were aborted by the nearby Rush tour instead.
Instead of just posting the Red State trailer again, we’ve decided to post the trailer along with sever
al videos covering Smith’s odyssey towards independence. We’ve posted Smith’s speech after the Sundance premiere, sections of several Q&A sessions and even some fun videos of Smith battling it out with hecklers from the Westboro Baptist Church who served as a direct inspiration for the events in Red State.
Even after all of this – Red State still has yet to surface on DVD! I wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin Smith was a lock for this week’s Inspirational Filmmaker – but that is another story.
