George A. Romero – the man responsible for the birth of Modern Horror – celebrated his own birth for his seventy-second birthday over the weekend. Romero started a masterful career with a bang in 1968 with Night of the Living Dead, then shocked the world with Dawn of the Dead in 1978 and returned to prominence in 2005 with Land of the Dead. Romero has made two more films in his new zombie cycle since then Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead – both highly celebrated on Mutantville.com. MVP would like to wish George A. Romero the happiest of birthdays and to seventy more years of zombie gutmunching filmmaking.
