Post-Prometheus Depression, and Con Anxiety Mounts on Mutantville Monday.

Prometheus (2012)

Welcome back to another manic Mutantville Monday! Well – perhaps manic is the wrong word as we had a rare weekend of downtime – but the horror and sci-fi world was abuzz with excitement as Ridley Scott’s long awaited Prometheus hit theaters across the US. It’s always fun when a new release excites everyone around the globe and turns us all into fans again. Of course that only lasts as long as it takes everyone to get out to the theater and see the movie before they start choosing sides of who liked the movie and who didn’t like the movie and those who loved it vs. those who feel that the movie is an affront to humanity. Put simply if you didn’t like Prometheus – you’re full of shit. Now that that’s out of the way we can move on.

Post-production continues as MVP puts the final touches on what will become the Special Edition DVD of G.H.O.S.T. so we can move on and put the final touches on our SECOND DVD! That’s right – we’re mere weeks away from the Fright Night Film Fest in Kentucky and we are gearing up to debut the Festival Edition of Tales From Mutantville at the convention! So there is little time to wax poetic about the nature of filmmaking and man’s place in the universe. We do plenty of that on the MVP Mutant Radio show so take a minute to check out the recent episodes. You’ll find a great interview with indie filmmaker Scott Goldberg as we talk about his latest project The Three and his innovative crowd sourcing ideas as well as our most recent episode where we discussed Prometheus in great detail. We’ve been busy and we’re going to stay that way for the foreseeable future so buckle up and hold on tight! The Mutantville Mothership is setting course for Parts Unknown and we want to see you all there. Next stop – the Fright Night Film Fest in Kentucky! See you soon.
