To recap the past week, we didn’t make it into Nevermore, but we did get accepted to ConCarolinas. Post-production is wrapping up on G.H.O.S.T. and Tales From Mutantville both of which will appear on DVD soon. The Nevermore Film Festival is next month and no doubt they will have a stellar lineup. I know already that Ti West’s Innkeepers is playing and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. One month later, Mad Monster Party hits Charlotte and there are a lot of great events planned for it some of which have yet to be revealed – but I’ve heard things. . .
Congratz to our buddies Robert W. Filion, Michael Sharpe and Christopher G. Moore who all had films accepted into Nevermore this year! I’m sure that Dummy, Deviling and Flush With Fear will help make for a very strong short film lineup. I look forward to seeing them all on Saturday. Of course you know this means war. . .
Ok – enough about them. Let’s talk more MVP. But first – the leap!!!
Even as post-production wraps up on one project – pre-production work is moving along on others. Projects such as The Metatron Files, Muticia’s Movie Morgue and House At The Edge of Hell are in various stages of development. We’d tell you more but then we’d have to kill you because it’s top secret!
If you’re in the Durham area this weekend I recommend checking out the Nevermore Fundraiser tonight at Retrofantasma as they are playing a double feature of Steven Spielberg with Jurassic Park and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. Don’t forget to tell them that Streebo sent ya!
That’s enough news for now. Make sure you get caught up with all the MVP blog posts from this week which included a celebration of the Chinese New Year on Sunday with Chinese Ghost Story for Classics Corner, then Wednesday we saw another behind the scenes Making Metatron Files vid-cast from Brento as well as the first installment of Fanboy Lurker and the debut of the newer edgier MVP, and lastly on Thursday we saw my uber post on Clive Barker and the nature of uncanny horror. Good stuff all around.
That’s enough jibber jabber for now as I have filled my typing quotient. Let the Mutant TV commence!
