Nevermore Film Festival Comes and Goes and MVP Forges Ahead on Mutantville Mondays.

Nevermore and back again with MVP and Logan.

Welcome back to another cold sleet covered edition of Mutantville Mondays.  The Mutantville Players have returned from a long weekend in Durham, NC where we attended the thirteenth annual Nevermore Film Festival over the weekend.  Nevermore always offers us a chance to recharge our creative batteries by taking in new movies as well as the classics in addition to supporting our fellow filmmakers as they share their works with the public.

MVP would like to send out a big round of congratz to our friends Robert W. Filion, Jeremy Bonham, Christopher G. Moore, Robert Haulbrook, and Lee Miller who all had movies play at the festival.  Congratulations on the fine reception you received and keep up the good work.  The gentlemen hosted their films Dummy, Flush With Fear and Deviling respectively.

Streebo was able to take in  no less than four new horror films before having to leave the festival suddenly as the gory Italian Zombie movie Eaters literally made me sick.  No, really.  It probably had more to do with the sudden onset of food poisoning than the gore in the film – but it was a first nonetheless.  So after a nice mini-marathon that consisted of Playback, Night of the Creeps, Some Guy Who Kills People, Whispherer In The Darkness, Eaters and the short film block They’re Coming To Get You Barbara – Streebo had to call it a day and head home  to recover.

With Nevermore over – MVP can now set their sights on the upcoming Mad Monster Party next month!  We’re still feilding submissions for the film festival with just under two weeks until the deadline.  It’s going to be a great event with a lot of great guests and a ton of local talent.  We can’t wait and we hope to see you there.

As Streebo is still recovering from food poisoning incident with a sore tummy we’re going to have to cut the updates short.  Get your Monday started properly with a steaming hot Streebo V-Log from the Nevermore Film Festival this past weekend and wash it down with a cool selection of trailers and vids on Mutant TV.

Enjoy.
