Rough Cut Screen Grab
Another Wednesday is upon us and that means another Johnny Brento’s JuJu. This is a rare occasion where I’m writing to you live from the moment, which is to say that I didn’t write this article in advance as per my normal routine and have it set to publish at a future time to meet my Wednesday schedule. The reason for this is another extremely busy week. On the upside I can share my excitement for all that has transpired in the last 24 hours.
Muticia’s Movie Morgue: Often imitated, never duplicated. There have been some cool indie horror hosts and hostesses to come to light in this age of self published internet shows. I can honestly say that quality talks and B.S. walks. I’d put Muticia’s Movie Morgue up against any of them and feel great about our product! As of right this second, if you pop over to the Mutantville Productions Facebook page, you can see the preview scene from episode #1 of the Movie Morgue. The last act of a tired editor was to hit the “Render” button on the full episode last night as I left my editing suite after sometime just before midnight. Within the next day or so, the preview scene will link to the full episode and the long wait will be over, and just in time for Halloween, hereby officially dubbed, “Muticia-ween” by yours truly.
It’s been a long/fun journey to bring to life a quality web show that horror fans can get behind. I’m certainly proud of the result.
On a more personal note, yesterday marked my first viewing of the rough cut of “Take That.” Even bare-bones it looks amazing. There’s a lot of work to be done before it’s ready for its festival run including sound design, fine editing and scoring but I think it’s in a good place. Hopefully picture lock will be achieved this week. I had a few minor edit suggestions but largely Robert’s initial cut will be left as is. The film currently runs 13 minutes. There might be some other rather huge news about “Take That” forthcoming but it’s nothing that I can officially announce at this point so stay tuned. In the meantime enjoy the beautiful screen grab.
