It was great to see the good work of editing being done on Muticia’s Movie Morgue this weekend. The performances of a few folks are just gut splitting funny, so I’d kept getting caught walking in and out in the middle of something that would bust me up.
Streebo stole my AZ thunder yesterday with the sneak peek from the AZ video but as there as been more progress on that, I have more to share! At present I’m doing pre-work on the video until I get the final recorder audio which is being made available sometime after 7:01 tonight according to T.A.B., Dr. Savini if you’re nasty! Considering the compact nature of the shoot, I think we got some interesting angles to work with and it was a live performance so there’s that. Todd re-wrote the lyrics to this tune so it’s an entirely different version from that on the album. Live performances is where it’s at with original music in my opinion. If you want some canned covers in fluxuating time, I guess you can go check out Blak Saturn.
So, the original recorded song, “Father of Lies,” from the very first Absolute Zero LP is all about big tobacco. How it sells human lives for profit and how tobacco products that promise to make you look cool and hip are actually selling you down the river for a net gain. It could really apply to any sort of big corporation, big pharma for instance. The 2012 lyrics penned by that Ginger boy, Todd Alexander Britt, as best I can tell aren’t really about any central theme but talk about Demons and such. I guess the idea being, “Break out of bondage from evil.” Maybe he will comment on this post and clear that up but don’t hold your breath on that one.
Apart from all that video jazz, I’ve been steady reading and practicing for me detour into stopmotion film making. I try to make at least one little stopmo video per day with my iPhone. Here are a few of the things I’ve turned out in my spare time the last few days. I’ve got product in the mail to get me started on my first armature figure. What to make first? Any suggestions?
