Welcome back to another edition of Mutantville Mondays here on Mutantville.com! It’s been a wild and wooly 2012 for MVP so far as we’ve been everywhere from the Nevermore Film Festival to the Mad Monster Party and have been working on building the final DVDs for not one – but two MVP projects G.H.O.S.T. and Tales From Mutantville – in addition to prepping for the Metatron Files webseries and shooting the first episode of Muticia’s Movie Morgue. Whew. Did you get all of that? Well don’t worry – we’ll continue to remind you each day.
Get your MVP fix after the leap!
This past weekend, we had a very productive day on the set of Muticia’s Movie Morgue as we shot Zombie Day! Zombie Day was built around a skit featuring Muticia the Movie Goddess as she reported live from the site of the ghoul outbreak in George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead from 1968. All of the MVP regulars were on hand with Vanelle playing the part of Muticia and several new friends came out to join us. Any time you have zombies on the set hilarity ensues. We had a very fun day goofing around with zombies, dead bodies and Mutie the Mutantville Mutant. The boys from Absolute Zero were on hand to shoot the musical segment of the show. If you’ve never seen dancing zombies and gyrating orange mutants – then prepare to have your wildest dreams come true. It was a fun filled day of greasepaint and blood stains that will remain a fond memory for everyone involved.
Special thanks to all of our friends for coming out to join us this weekend! It might have been your first time on a MVP set but you captured the spirit of what it means to be MVP right away. As always thank you all for your hard work because without you – none of this would be possible. By the way – everyone needs to send out a round of congratz to the lovely Vanelle as she wrapped her role as Mutica the Movie Goddess on the first episode of Muticia’s Movie Morgue.
MVP is thriving and the horror world is abuzz with joy as Cabin In The Woods quietly approached from left field gaining word of mouth momentum all the way until it hit theaters like a blast of rolling thunder and blew everyone away! Look for MVP reviews to come soon.
We’re still recovering from a crazy weekend so forgive us as we take some time away from the interwebs to relax and spend time with our families. Don’t worry – we won’t stop working as there’s plenty of post to be done. Be sure to check out the fanpages for both Vanelle and Muticia the Movie Goddess so you can keep up to date on the Movie Morgue. We’ll be back soon – so until then remember when you’re a Mutantville Player – everyone knows you’re a M . . . V. . . P!!!
