Get your full MVP injection after the leap!!!
Horror hit #1 at the box office over the weekend with the release of the direct TCM sequel – Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D getting the genre off to a good start in 2013. The Mutantville Players plan to get out to see the movie over the weekend – and if everything proceeds according to plan we will review it for you on an upcoming episode of MVP Mutant Radio.
The date is January 11, 2013 and our goal for today is simple: make it through the work day so we can head to Durham tonight for the Retro Classics screening of Planet of the Apes and 2001: A Space Odyssey – both in 35mm (EDITOR’s NOTE: The 35mm print of 2001: A Space Odyssey was delayed by Warner Bros and will be replaced by a digital screening). The MVP faithful will remember that we’ve mentioned both films in the past as being two of the greatest science fiction films ever made with 2001: A Space Odyssey taking the number two spot – only behind Star Wars: A New Hope.

Check it out to get your greasy movie fix – and then pop on over to Exploited Cinema at Exploitedcinema.blogspot.com to check out the upcoming Cronenberg episode.
The clock is ticking and we have to make it through a handful of hours before we point our noses East and head toward the Triangle area for a double feature SF movie madness tonight! We hope to see you there!
