CHARLOTTE, NC — The light at the end of the tunnel flared bright today for indie filmmakers across the country as the Mad Monster Party Film Festival schedule went live on their official website. Filmmakers are coming from all along the East Coast and across North Carolina to show their films to a rabid crowd at the First Annual Mad Monster Party Film Festival on March 23 -25th.

The festival programming boasts a lineup of thrilling short films and surprising full length features. There is a full spectrum of tastes represented for the weekend’s film-goers. The festival opens with a bang by featuring the controversial politically charged short film – Mr.Mullen by Scott Goldberg and continues through a strong selection of shorts, full length features and documentaries the entire weekend. The After Hours programming offers some of the craziest R-rated horror and fantasy films that you’ll see outside of a Jodorowsky retrospective. There’s even a special FAMILY FUN & SPOOKSHOW HOUR to start the day on Saturday and ZOMBIEFEST on Sunday right before the festival awards screenings.
