“It Won’t Be Confused with the Best Ghosts and Haunted House Movies Ever Made but G.H.O.S.T. Will Entertain!” claims writer/director J.T.McRoberts in a recent interview with Flaps magazine in the UK. “We worked hard on it for about three years. We had a great cast headed by Kathy Butler Sandvoss, Steven D. Tucker, Scott Thomas and more! The story was fun to us. We enjoyed telling the story of this determined professional business woman on her quest to save her ghost hunting television show from cancellation oblivion.”
“Everyone had fun on the set. The cast and crew used to scare each other while waiting between setups by daring people to go into the unlit areas of the opera house alone. No one ever would. We were all spooked out by it. Some nights we would talk about the real life ghost stories while we ate craft services.
Story-wise, I hope it will pleasantly surprise people that are both fans and detractors of the found footage and ghost hunting sub-genres of horror films. We tried to approach it in a mixed-media way. Some scenes were black and white while others were in vibrant color. We had to make these fake intros for the fictional G.H.O.S.T. TV show so that part of the movie plays like an episode. The movie bounces from P.O.V. footage to third person cinematic view without warning. We see character’s dreams. We see everything really. We hope people like it.”
