MVP is heading out to the convention to screen Scarecrow at Midnight and to promote the release of the Tales from Mutantville DVD. Speaking of which be sure to mark on your calendar that Scarecrow at Midnight plays 9:30pm Friday night June 29th at the Fright Night Film Fest in the French screening room. Ooh la la! Bring your preferred slashing implement of your choice and Sawbones will provide the blood.
In order to properly promote the awesomeness that is the gathering called the Fright Night Film Fest – we are counting the days down to the event by talking to a selection of filmmakers that will be in attendance at the convention. This week we’re talking to Jaysen Buterin of Mad Ones Films who will be screening his grindhouse tinted flick Have Faith Will Travel. Jaysen joins the MVP Mutant Radio crew to talk about the genesis of his Hot Pink Jesus trilogy and more.
We’ve had a busy week and we still have plenty of work to do as we finalize the DVD build for Tales from Mutantville. Somehow we still found time along the way to review Prometheus for you which in turn turned into our highest rated episode of MVP Mutant Radio ever. We have to head back into the bowels of the Mothership to finish our work before the festival gets here. We have work to do but we want to see all of you at the Fright Night Film Fest!
Before we go, we’ll leave you a selection of videos and links that countdown this week that was in MVP. Check it out.
Friday we brought you a brand new episode of MVP Mutant Radio as we talked to indie filmmaker Scott Goldberg about his latest project The Three: A Dark Horror Concept Film.
Saturday we brought you a spoiler free review of Prometheus on Mutant TV followed by a spoiler filled discussion on Prometheus on MVP Mutant Radio.
Sunday we reposted Geo’s article on Ridley Scott’s classic 80’s space Gothic – Alien.
Thursday we brought you a new installment of Streeborama featuring a special Alpha Sketch unboxing!
Friday saw the release of not only our long awaited interview with the writer of The Fly and Psycho III – Charles Edward Pogue. . .
But we also released our exclusive footage of Conor McCullagh of the Hunger Games and Syfy’s Face Off. . .
And of course Friday also saw the release of our first video in the Fright Night Film Fest countdown series – with special guess – Jaysen Buterin as we discussed Have Faith Will Travel.
Which brings us to now. Let’s all go see Prometheus again, shall we. See you at the movies. . . in the streets . . . online. . . in your mind. We are MVP.
