Looking for news on G.H.O.S.T. – then check out the latest post-production v-log:

And here’s out latest update from over the weekend as we prepared the underscore for Scarecrow At Midnight in the hopes to have the final score ready for viewing at ConCarolinas.  Scarecrow At Midnight will be screened as part of the film festival that weekend along with Michael Sharpe’s Monomaniacal and other fantastic entries.

In the world of horror, fans are gearing up for the new release from John Carpenter – The Ward – which hits theaters on July 8th! MVP is planning a trip to Kentucky for this year’s awesome Fright Night Film Festival with none other than the Master of Horror himself – John Carpenter. Be sure to check out our multi-part interview with Ken Daniels – promoter of Fright Night Film Fest and Fandom Fest:

True Blood season 4 is about to start this summer.  Teaser vids have been hitting the internetz every week.

The truly bad ass Mortal Kombat Legacy vids are continuing to bloody the Internet.  Be sure to check them out.

The sleeper supernatural thriller from James Wan – Insidious – is about to hit it’s DVD release date on July 12.  The movie itself is still playing in some theaters.  If you haven’t seen it yet – get out and watch what has been to this point the best horror release of 2011.

Rob Zombie is currently shooting his latest horror flick – Lords of Salem.  Reports from the set say that it is very FX heavy.  I’m glad to see Zombie going back to original works now so his work won’t be subjected to such idiotic scrutiny prior to it’s release as happened with his Halloween films.  I still blame that idiot at AICN “Quint” for starting that snowball rolling with his moronic review of Zombie’s Halloween script.  Yes, this is what’s called carrying a grudge.  I keep bringing that crap up four years later.  It was in effect the Gulf of Tonkin incident for Horror Fandom at which point the entire community’s head disappeared up it’s own ass.  See my review “Rob Zombie’s Halloween is  a Kick Ass Remake” for my thoughts on that frustrating time period in horror.

Stuart Gordon’s horror classic Re-Animator is enjoying renewed life as a musical – currently making the rounds in New York City.  I love horror musicals.  I hope someone makes a musical of the FEAST series.

Stephen King’s Carrie is up next on the remake block – AGAIN.  People seem to forget that Carrie was already remade in 2002 starring the ever lovely Angela Bettis.  May as well remake it again.  Hollywood is in the creative toilet at the moment and afraid to invest in original properties – but what else is new?

And last but not least be sure to follow us on Twitter @mvp (for the group news) or myself for live daily updates @jtmcroberts.  We’re gearing up for the summer convention season which will be sure to blow your hair back!
