BLUE RUIN

May 22nd & 26th – 7:30 pm

“Far more suspenseful than the typical violent revenge thriller.” — The Chicago Sun-Times

Summer is right around the corner and the Back Alley FIlm Series is kicking off our summer slate with one of the most talked about and best reviewed films of 2014, BLUE RUIN directed by Jeremy Saulnier.

BLUE RUIN is a classic American revenge story. The film follows a mysterious outsider whose quiet life is turned upside down when he returns to his childhood home to carry out an act of vengeance. Proving himself an amateur assassin, he winds up in a brutal fight to protect his estranged family.

“A film of almost unbearable tension…” — indieWire.

We hope you will join us for one of two screenings of the film, either Thursday May 22nd or Monday May 26th (both screenings will begin at 7:30 pm). This is a film not to be missed.
Carolina Cinemas Crownpoint, 9630 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28277. Tickets $5 (CFS Members), $10 (Non-Members). 2014 Memberships available before the screening for $12.
