B Movie Cult Director Pat Bishow appearing in The Secret of Sarah Pennington at
Fright Night Film Fest
OKLAHOMA CITY (July 1, 2013)— Fans of b-movies and no-budget horror flicks
will recognize the name Pat Bishow of NYC based Amusement Films. Pat takes on
the role of an adult Miles Boughman in The Secret of Sarah Pennington screening
at the upcoming Fright Night Film Fest July 28th at 3:30PM in the Laffoon Room.
Known as Mid America’s largest genre pop/horror/culture/film, Fright Night
will be held July 26-28, 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Galt House
Convention Center and the Kentucky Convention Center.
The film follows washed up rock star, JONATHAN GRAYLINE (Doug McAbee), who is
accused of murdering his band’s lead singer during a performance at a small
town high school reunion. Locals believe legendary serial killer Sarah
Pennington has returned to continue her killing spree. It is up to DETECTIVE TUF
TURNER (Skipper Bivins) to solve the murder, as he discovers who his allies
truly are.
Known for such epic horror movies as Three from the Dead House and The Soul
Tangler and more recent no-budget cult fare as The Adventures of El Frenetico &
and Go-Girl and The Girls from H.A.R.M.!, Pat takes a turn in front of the lens
in The Secret of Sarah Pennington. This movie also marks the first time that
Pat and long time collaborator Jon Sanborne act together in a scene.
“Not only am I a huge fan, I consider Pat to be a good friend,” said
Producer Matt Jenkins “To have him appear in the first horror movie I produced
is awesome. And to have Jon act in it is icing on the cake!”
The large cast includes Hillbilly Handfishin’s Skipper Bivins in his first
starring role and Jed Fox as Simon Garland. Award-winning filmmaker Charles
Stanley directs with visual effects produced by Doug McAbee and original music
by Nashville recording artist, Allen Biffle.
This thriller is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
