David Hess Remembered, Paranormal Activity Returns & October Rolls On this Friday with MVP!

MVP and Image Impact Group together again.

The Mutantville Players are off to the set of Robert W. Filion’s Athena again this weekend.  We’re helping Image impact Group all month long and it’s been a great shoot so far.  We’re one week away from the private cast and crew screening of G.H.O.S.T. and all we have left to do is slide all of the final sound and FX pieces into place.  It’s going to be so much fun to share the final product with all of our friends for Halloween.

In the midst of all of this creative activity – we still find the time to bring you reviews, articles, interviews and special features that you won’t find anywhere else!  Speaking of interviews – – I hear there’s a brand new interview with John Carpenter coming to Mutant TV very soon!

DAVID HESS HONORED BY EXPLOITED CINEMA!!!

The greasy boys over at Exploited Cinema are joined by a sleazy ghost from the past this week. That’s right – Bat-32 and J-dog are joined by old Canadian Ferox cohort The Changeling this week as they discuss the life and times of David Hess. The boys play some of Hess’ music and of course they discuss his sleaziest hits including The Last House On the Left, House On The Edge of the Park, Hitch Hike and even Swamp Thing. Lock up your kids and tell your grandmother goodnight – it’s time for Exploited Cinema.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY POISED TO RETAKE BOX OFFICE!!!

Paranormal Activity 3 opens nationwide this weekend. MVP loved the first two installments in this series so we were as excited as anyone to see it. MVP already has an advance review up and running to help you decide whether or not the third time is the charm when there are ghosts in the house.

WALKERS RULE THE SMALL SCREEN!!!

The Walking Dead returned to the small screen last Sunday and broke the basic cable record for the most viewed drama of all time!  The season two opener pulled in a whopping 7.3 million viewers!
This just goes to show that people out there still love horror.  It’s up to the fans and filmmakers to help them find something worth watching.

The Walking Dead takes the basic premise of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead and plays it out in every possible way.  The show combines human drama – not soap opera ala True Blood – but real drama with an all out assault of zombie action.  The zombie FX are provided by Greg Nicotero and the KNB FX group well known for their work on everything from their roots with Evil Dead II to recent masterpieces such as Diary of the Dead and their Academy Award winning efforts on The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
