It’s been a crazy couple of months for MVP. It seems like only yesterday that Geo and I were prepping for the trip to the Fright Night Film Fest/Fandom Fest and now it’s all over like a dream.
We’re still uploading our videos and interviews from the convention to Youtube as there’s been a work overload this week that has delayed the last few uploads but I assure you that they are coming! And of course several projects are in various stages of production including post-production on Indigo Child, Family Fiend, and G.H.O.S.T. as well as pre-production of new scripts, updating websites and planning countless other endeavors that are sure to thrill and chill you all. You’ll just have to stay tuned to Mutantville.com to find out!
WORLD HORROR NEWS!!!
True Blood, Dexter and The Walking Dead have been keeping horror alive on the small screen for the past few years – but this weekend, horror makes it’s long awaited return to the big screen with Final Destination 5! Over the coming weeks, we’ll see the Horror floodgates open as we are hit almost back to back with the remake of Fright Night, Apollo 18, Red State, the Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark remake produced by Guillermo Del Toro and finally Paranormal Activity 3 which has taken over the Halloween spot from the SAW franchise!
The Final Destination series has been a fan favorite of the new millennium and even Streebo went out to review last year’s installment of the series which you can see below. It’s interesting to see the series return with the 3D gimmick again this year. Horror has been the true home for 3D so if you’re dying to see a 3D film this month – I say go for Final Destination 5. I thought the last installment was pretty bland in 2D so only the promised sizzle of 3D piques my interest to see this sequel. Horror films are always FUN in 3D. If you’re watching the film this weekend, feel free to let us know what you think!
Streebo’s review for The Final Destination 3D (2009)
Next week, the Fright Night remake starring Collin Farrel and David Tennant hits the screens and Streebo has scored some advance passes to check it out! If everything goes well with the screening, we’ll have an advance review of Fright Night up for you by next weekend. In the meantime, go watch the original Fright Night – because it really IS that damn good!
WALKING DEAD UPDATE!!!
Kurt Sutter (Creator of Sons of Anarchy) took to Twitter this week to let people know the truth behind the reason that Frank Darabount was booted from the number one drama of 2010 – The Walking Dead. Here’s what his tweets had to say:
“why darabont got fired – weiner. he held AMC hostage, broke their bank, budgets were slashed, shit rolled down hill onto gilligan and frank.”
“no one else wants to fucking say it, but the greed of mad men is killing the other two best shows on tv — breaking bad and walking dead.”
“darabont reacted strongly to slashed budgets. he made mistakes, he was fired. no creative in town will trust AMC to back up their artists.”
TRUE BLOOD SEASON FOUR ROLLS ON!!!
(Spoilers below, proceed at your own risk!)
News has come down that True Blood has indeed been renewed for a fifth season next year. True Blood season four has been pretty wild so far. This past week, Eric and Sookie finally made the hookup and Entertainment Weekly asks that oh so important question – do you think the wait was worth it? Personally, I just like seeing Sookie’s assets so I don’t care who she hooks up with and by assets I mean front-sets and back-sets! ; )

I stole that “assets” joke from Ivonna Cadaver by the way. Just FYI.
