This week’s movie may not be an old classic horror film, but I enjoyed it! Tucker and Dale vs Evil stars Tyler Labine, Alan Tudyk, Katrina Bowden, Jesse Moss, Philip Granger, Brandon Jay McLaren, Christie Laing, Chelan Simmons, Travis Nelson, Alex Arsenault, Adam Beauchesne and Joseph Allan Sutherland. This year Alan Tudyk will be at Fright Night Film Fest! You may have also seen him in Firefly, 28 Days, A Knight’s Tale, 3:10 to Yuma and I’ve seen him most recently as Pastor Veal in Arrested Development.

This film starts off with a group of college kids on their way to go camping. Sound familiar? They stop at a creepy store to get beer (I know) and run into these two “hillbillies.” Of course, these hillbillies are Tucker and Dale. They are on their way to Tucker’s new vacation cabin. There is a misunderstanding between the college kids and Tucker and Dale. On the way to the cabin, Tucker and Dale are warned not to go which everyone knows is always done in films, like Cabin in the Woods for example. Once Tucker and Dale arrive, they see that the cabin is pretty run down but being “hillbillies” they are excited. I don’t want to give too much away because I think the next parts are what make this film so funny and gory. Let’s just say there is a big misunderstanding and things go down hill very quickly. I thought this movie was a lot of fun and would highly recommend it!
