Johnny Brento’s JuJu Fail

open source video, online video platform, video streaming, video solutions

The universe conspires against me this week dear friends. After filming 3 different segments, one wasn’t captured and became unavailable to me, two Camstasia attempts went awry and I just haven’t the heart to try a 4th time with my current work load. In the meantime enjoy this little Poser concept animation for a music video. It’s was thrown together in 30 minutes so nothing very refine but fun just the same. Look for a proper JuJu next week if all goes as planned and enjoy the rest of your week.

My plan was to discuss the Poser software as a Pre-Visualization tool for film makers and I hope to make that video at some point.

Maybe next time

Clive Barker Collectables on MVP’s Collector’s Corner!

It’s Wednesday, Hump Day, or Cut Your Boss Into Little Tiny Pieces And Hide Them In  A Box Day!  That last one – maybe not so much – but on Mutantville.com, Wednesday means Collector’s Corner!  This week, we have found some sweet rarities from the mind of Clive Barker

Barker’s work has been a huge influence on the Mutantville Players and we even had the honor of meeting him this past year.  It pleases us to no end to share the sight of these little goodies with you!  First we’ll post the links to eBay so you can bid on these precious items and lastly we’ll share Streebo’s video from last year where he took a look at his own Clive Barker collection – which has grown quite considerably since then.

(check out the goodies after the leap!)

Don’t talk to aliens, warns Stephen Hawking.

From the Times Online:  THE aliens are out there and Earth had better watch out, at least according to Stephen Hawking. He has suggested that extraterrestrials are almost certain to exist — but that instead of seeking them out, humanity should be doing all it that can to avoid any contact. The suggestions come in a new documentary series in which Hawking, one of the world’s leading scientists, will set out his latest thinking on some of the universe’s greatest mysteries.Alien life, he will suggest, is almost certain to exist in many other parts of the universe: not just in planets, but perhaps in the centre of stars or even floating in interplanetary space.Hawking’s logic on aliens is, for him, unusually simple. The universe, he points out, has 100 billion galaxies, each containing hundreds of millions of stars. In such a big place, Earth is unlikely to be the only planet where life has evolved.

Geoff Klock on How to Start.

How to Start: Punch Drunk Love, Night Ripper, and Kill Bill

The first 2 minutes and 40 seconds of Punch Drunk Love are pretty well amazing.

You learn everything you need to know about the movie’s universe in those first 2 minutes and 40 seconds: This man is lonely (the shot puts him in the corner, and nothing adorns the empty space), smart (he figures out this company has a coupon reward thing that rewards more than the product is worth), and he lives in this world where no one cares (the guy on the other end of the phone is apathetic), and where violence can come out of nowhere (at the crack of dawn this weirdly peaceful moment is broken as an SUV just flips over disastrously, careening off camera and it is never returned to). But his salvation is there as well: out of nowhere, in this cold and violent place, this quirky funny old beautiful instrument just APPEARS, a herald of the salvation, the old fashioned old testament GRACE (which you do not do anything to get but which is simply thrust upon you) that he will find in quirky Emily Watson. Before the movie starts you get the whole thing in micro.
