Chinese New Year is this Monday, so we focus on A Chinese Ghost Story
or Sien nui yau wan this week. A Chinese Ghost Story was directed by Siu-Tung Ching and stars Leslie Cheung, Joey Wang, Ma Wu and Elvis Tsui. You may notice that Elvis Tsui was in last week’s focus The Seventh Curse. He’s a busy guy…he’s been in 120 films and TV series. The original novel for A Chinese Ghost Story was written by Songling Pu and was adapted for screen by Gai Chi Yuen, who is also known for The Legend of Drunken Master with Jackie Chan and Once Upon a Time in China with Jet Li.

Welcome back to Mutantville Monday, my fellow Mutants. MVP is working hard to keep you up to date on the latest goings on in the world of horror and science fiction all while doing our best to create new genre entertainment for you! Word is that Mutantville is about to pull the trigger on the long gestating Mutica’s Movie Morgue as part of the Tales From Mutantville DVD. Muties from across the globe are going insane with anticipation. Who will fill the crimson gown of MVP’s Movie Goddess? Will it be Scout Taylor Compton? Danielle Harris? Brinke Stevens? Or will it be someone even more fabulous? You’ll have to stay tuned to find out!
MVP is gearing up for the big Fright Night Film Festival that’s just around the corner in July. That means getting shirt designs ready so we can get them back in time from Tee Shirt Joe at FastCustomShirts.com as well as designing posters and finalilzing post on a couple projects that we’d like to have ready for the convention. More news on that coming soon.

Sides for “G.H.O.S.T.” Audition Posted at Mutantville.com. You can find the listing of sides for the upcoming MVP project entitled G.H.O.S.T by clicking on the tab above marked “G.H.O.S.T.” That’s the one right there with the photo of the spooky set of steps. In case you can’t find it – just use the “Scan Mothership” option to the side and search for keyword “sides” which will lead you to this post.
CHARACTERS:
Maya : Thirty-something industrious executive producer of the world renowned G.H.O.S.T. paranormal research team and TV series. Tough. Charming. Energetic.
G.B. : Part-time cameraman for G.H.O.S.T. and full-time horror buff. Awkward yet intelligent. Prankster.
Seth: The sound expert and resident skeptic of G.H.O.S.T.
Maximillian: Elderly caretaker of the Andersonville Opera House. Affable yet kind of creepy.
Byron: Smarmy yuppie. Co-producer of G.H.O.S.T.
Young Maya: Young Maya.
Grandfather: Maya’s elderly grandfather.
Scripts will be given out cold on the day of the audition. Readings will be taken on a first come first serve basis.
