Welcome back to another edition of Fridays with MVP! We’re one week past the Mad Monster Party and the First Annual Mad Monster Party Film Festival and less than twenty-four hours away from the set of Muticia’s Movie Morgue. Muticia the Movie Goddess made her debut just last week at the Mad Monster Party in Charlotte and to say she was a big hit would be a huge understatement.
We need a favor from you all –voting for the Tenth Annual Rondo Awards ends this weekend. We need you to cast your vote right away! Several of our friends are nominated for Rondo Awards this year so quite naturally we want you to vote for them! All of our friends at Exploited Cinema, Mad Monster Magazine, Fright Night Film Fest, Profondo Cinema, Deadpit.com, Shloggs Horror Blog and even good old Dr. AC have been nominated this year. Now, sadly three of my friends are competing for best horror podcast. That means I can only pick one – which makes this easy because they were the only podcast to have Streebo and the Mutantville Players on as guests last year so that makes them the best in my book – EXPLOITED CINEMA. Cast your Rondo Award vote for Mad Monster Magazine, Exploited Cinema, Redshirt Pictures, Shloggs Horror Blog and Dr. AC and whatever else you like. Just copy the MVP list below and email it to taraco@aol.com and you’re done!

Welcome back to another cold sleet covered edition of Mutantville Mondays. The Mutantville Players have returned from a long weekend in Durham, NC where we attended the thirteenth annual Nevermore Film Festival over the weekend. Nevermore always offers us a chance to recharge our creative batteries by taking in new movies as well as the classics in addition to supporting our fellow filmmakers as they share their works with the public.
MVP would like to send out a big round of congratz to our friends Robert W. Filion, Jeremy Bonham, Christopher G. Moore, Robert Haulbrook, and Lee Miller who all had movies play at the festival. Congratulations on the fine reception you received and keep up the good work. The gentlemen hosted their films Dummy, Flush With Fear and Deviling respectively.
Welcome to another edition of Friday’s With MVP here at Mutantville.com. The Mothership has been flying at warp speed 5 for several weeks now as we prepare for the Mad Monster Party next month and are working to get through the final stages of post-production to get G.H.O.S.T. and Tales From Mutantville on DVD in time for their respective screenings. We’ve been doing our best to keep you up to date on everything while completing our work in addition to promoting the genre and our fellow North Carolinian filmmakers so if we miss anything along the way try to have patience. Speaking of updates, here’s one hot off the presses – check out the latest design for the Tales From Mutantville DVD cover.
This weekend, we’re heading out to support our friends at the Nevermore Film Festival at the Carolina Theatre in Durham. It’s going to be three days of mayhem and madness on the movie screen so come join us. Tomorrow we’ll be at the 4:20pm screening of They’re Coming To Get You Barbara short film block to support our friends Robert W. Filion, Michael Sharpe and Christopher G. Moore as they present their latest works for the Nevermore crowd. Come show your indie colors and join the fun. Photos will be taken. Babies will be kissed. And much ale will be consumed.
Amidst all of this activity we’re also going through the mountains of submissions for the Mad Monster Party Film Fest next month at the Mad Monster Party on March 23 – 25th. So far we’ve received submissions from filmmakers across the country including Scott Goldberg, Patrick Rhea, & William Zeebub. Not to be outdone, North Carolinian filmmakers have submitted a multiplicity of titles including RAGS, Portrait For Hell, and Sybling Rivlary. The guest list is bursting at the seams with names like Rutger Hauer, Brad Dourif, and Roddy Piper and there are more events than you can shake a boomstick at! Come join the fun as the Mad Monster Party makes it’s claim to become Charlotte’s premiere horror convention.
There are a lot of great things going on in the world of horror. We’re watching it all happen while trying to make some noise of our own. Let’s all just enjoy the ride shall we?

Thank Muticia it’s Fridayyyyyyyy!!! Welcome back to another edition of Fridays with MVP! We’ve had another action packed week here at Mutantville.com so sit back, buckle in and chomp on your bit because we’re taking off!
To recap the past week, we didn’t make it into Nevermore, but we did get accepted to ConCarolinas. Post-production is wrapping up on G.H.O.S.T. and Tales From Mutantville both of which will appear on DVD soon. The Nevermore Film Festival is next month and no doubt they will have a stellar lineup. I know already that Ti West’s Innkeepers is playing and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. One month later, Mad Monster Party hits Charlotte and there are a lot of great events planned for it some of which have yet to be revealed – but I’ve heard things. . .
Congratz to our buddies Robert W. Filion, Michael Sharpe and Christopher G. Moore who all had films accepted into Nevermore this year! I’m sure that Dummy, Deviling and Flush With Fear will help make for a very strong short film lineup. I look forward to seeing them all on Saturday. Of course you know this means war. . .
Ok – enough about them. Let’s talk more MVP. But first – the leap!!!

Let’s run down a quick list starting with C for Chaos – originally filmed as a full length feature but is in the process of being pared down to a web exclusive horror experience, G.H.O.S.T. originally filmed as a short film then expanded into a full length feature is currently being scored by Martin Bowes of Attrition, Tales From Mutantville is in the final stages of being authored for the DVD while we wait for final word on whether or not it made the cut for this year’s Nevermore Film Festival.
Streebo finished the second draft of the script for the first episode of Muticia’s Movie Morgue over the weekend while Brento made further progress on pre-production for our upcoming webseries The Metatron Files. And Geo – well Geo is off somewhere laughing and planting backlinks across every blog on the Internet. We’re also involved in designing shirts and posters for the upcoming releases.
