This will be a short post because it’s Halloween tonight and there are children with bags of candy that are not quite full! If you’ve been keeping up with the blog you’ll know that Mutantville has been a busy place this October(as usual). We’ve been helping on the set of Athena which is a film by Robert Filion. We also been working on G.H.O.S.T. to finish it up for the big cast and crew screening this past Sunday. I must say we had a great turn out and lots of fun.
With all of this work, I really haven’t watched many horror films this year. Pity eh? Just in case you were busy and didn’t get to see many horror films this year, I’m posting lots of classic horror film trailers below for you to watch and make you feel like you’ve seen more movies than you have.

Happy Halloween, creeps! The latest video effort from our good buddy Kenny Caperton of the Myers House NC has hit the interwebs and it’s truly awesome! Kenny has been flexing his cinematic muscles since he wrote the script for the Halloween tribute film JUDITH and has been producing various movies and shorts since. This time out – he teams up with Sheri Moon Zombie and MVP’s own Kayli Tolleson (G.H.O.S.T., Indigo Child and Family Fiend) to bring you a rocking new promo vid to celebrate Halloween!
This week on Mutantville.com, we’ve decided to honor the recent release of the latest effort from the Master of Horror John Carpenter – The Ward – by taking a look at Carpenter’s first great work - Halloween. The MVP faithful will know that we go to great lengths to find the best and scariest films on the Internet for you – and this week we have something special. We’ve found a recording of the television cut of John Carpenter’s Halloween which contains scenes and footage not seen anywhere else!
In 2002, Neil Marshall exploded onto the scene with a wild werewolf movie called Dog Soldiers. Dog Soldiers tells the story of six British Army soldiers dropped into the Scottish Highlands to perform routine training exercises only to discover that something much more sinister is afoot – approximately seven afoot tall to be exact – with ears, fur and big pointy teeth! Find out what happens by watching the movie below.

It’s been a busy week for MVP as we finalized the sound mix for Scarecrow At Midnight, designed a graphic t-shirt for Family Fiend and moved that much closer to completing the digital FX for Indigo Child.

MASTER ARTIST PASSES AWAY.
Word spread quickly across the internet last Thursday as legendary artist “Genial” Gene Colan passed away. The big news in MVP land this week is that we have found an event at which to premiere the entire Tales From Mutantville anthology. We’ll release an official announcement very soon – but in the meantime be very happy. This is going to be an historic event and one people will remember for a long time to come. MVP is honored to be a part of it.
MVP would like to give a quick shout out of congratulations to our friends at Sharpe Edge Films and Last Call Pictures as they both have films that have been accepted to the upcoming Fright Night Film Fest in Kentucky. That’s right – Monomaniacal and Desdemona 6 will play at the show and the guest of honor is none other than the Master of Horror himself – John Carpenter! Congratulations, guys!
