G.H.O.S.T. (2011) Haunts Trailer Park Tuesday!

G.H.O.S.T. (2011) coming soon to DVD.

This week on Trailer Park Tuesday, we’re going to do something out of character – we’re going to talk about ourselves.  I know!  Crazy, right?

It’s been a long hard road from pre-production in 2009 to the conclusion of post-production at the end of 2011 for G.H.O.S.T. (2011).  G.H.O.S.T. (2011) started as an idea for an original television pilot and along the way grew and morphed into a full length feature.  It was a labor of love from beginning to end and was only made possible by the contributions of so many talented individuals from North Carolina and specifically the Charlotte area.

Work is still ongoing on the final score for G.H.O.S.T. but after that it’s but a few steps away from the DVD release.  Beyond that we do have some cool things planned for the future so stay tuned for an official announcement soon.  MVP would like to send out a round of thanks to everyone involved in the making of G.H.O.S.T. (2011).

Without all of you, it wouldn’t have been possible.  So without further ado – check out the trailer for the supernatural thriller G.H.O.S.T. (2011) starring Kathy Butler Sandvoss, Matthew Ewald, Steven D. Tucker, Clint Jones, Dave Tunik, Jason Wheeley, Jack Stecher, Kayli Tolleson and more local talent than you can shake a EPK monitor at!  Featuring fashion designs by Luis Machicao and special make-up FX by Todd A. Britt, you won’t believe your eyes.

Streeborama: A Life In Horror.

Streebo lives a life in horror to the fullest.

Welcome back to another edition of Streeborama, my fellow Mutants.  It’s Thursday and we’re all still a bit worn out from the tremendous pace we’ve kept up over the past few years.  In short – we began pre-production on G.H.O.S.T. in the summer of 2009, began filming in October 2009 and have been busy working steadily since.  Only now after we’ve locked in the final cut and FX of G.H.O.S.T. are we ready to slow down and take a bit of a breather.

David Hess Remembered, Paranormal Activity Returns & October Rolls On this Friday with MVP!

MVP and Image Impact Group together again.

The Mutantville Players are off to the set of Robert W. Filion’s Athena again this weekend.  We’re helping Image impact Group all month long and it’s been a great shoot so far.  We’re one week away from the private cast and crew screening of G.H.O.S.T. and all we have left to do is slide all of the final sound and FX pieces into place.  It’s going to be so much fun to share the final product with all of our friends for Halloween.

In the midst of all of this creative activity – we still find the time to bring you reviews, articles, interviews and special features that you won’t find anywhere else!  Speaking of interviews – - I hear there’s a brand new interview with John Carpenter coming to Mutant TV very soon!

Paranormal Activity’s Oren Peli with MVP’s Inspirational Filmmaker Quote of the Week.

Paranormal Activity 3's Grandfather Oren Peli.

“Personally I like the slow burn; I don’t think there is anything wrong with it. When I think about the movies that were most effective on me as a viewer I think of the original Haunting and the Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby, the Sixth Sense, the Others. These movies are not over the top at all, they are movies that rely on good story telling, good acting, good premise, good exposition and I want to stay true to that in future projects. ”

Paranormal Activity 3 haunts Trailer Park Tuesday.

Paranormal Activity 3 one sheet.

Paranormal Activity 3 (2011)

Two years ago, the SAW franchise had been dominating the Halloween season for six years and SAW VI was due to hit theaters in one week. Paranormal Activity was a little known haunted house movie – but was talked about in horror circles for the six months leading up to it’s release. Streebo was there on opening weekend, when Paranormal Activity was playing for one weekend only in select cities across the country. Fans were encouraged to vote online to expand the theatrical release and that was exactly what happened. MVP was there leading the way as horror turned the corner from torture to hauntings.

Paranormal Activity (2007) – Modern Day Classic?

Paranormal Activity

Paranormal Activity (2007)

It doesn’t even seem like that long ago when Paranormal Activity was in theaters. I remember it was only released to small batches of theaters at first. I believe only one place had it in Charlotte, NC. This was in 2009 if my memory serves me correctly. It looks like October of 2007 is when Paranormal Activity was shown at the Screamfest Film Festival. I do like how it was marketed. It was very cool to have the fans demand that it comes to their town.
