Tales From Mutantville Update and More on Mutantville Mondays.

Indigo Child coming to Nevermore 2012?

Welcome back to another Mutantville Monday here at Mutantville.com. We had another busy weekend aboard the Mutantville Mothership as we sat down Saturday to record the commentary tracks for the Tales From Mutantville anthology. We sent off a working print of Indigo Child for submission to the 14th Annual Nevermore Film Festival in February.

Composer Martin Bowes of Attrition is still hard at work on the original score for G.H.O.S.T. We’re doing our best to keep ourselves busy on various projects in MVP Land such as completing several interviews we have on hand as well as working up exciting new scripts for future MVP projects. There’s too much to go into detail now so we’re going to leave you with a few videos from the world of horror but before we go – check out this nice write up on Scarecrow At Midnight from the fine folks at Horror Society.

The MVP Guide To The Galaxy, The Walking Dead and The Immortals Rule on Mutantville Mondays!

AZ is down with MVP. Absolute Zero circa 2011.

It’s time for another Monday morning Mutantville Player roll call!  Streebo!  Geo!  Brento!  Toddo!  No wait that’s not right.  I think he’s Mega-Todd or Dr.Savini or something like that but it breaks the name-plus-o convention that we have going.  Anyway – we’re all here and accounted for after another long hard weekend making the best in genre entertainment that the Planet Earth has to offer.

When I hold up my Majic Spyglass I can see all the Mutants sitting at home with us.  I see Kathy and Catherine.  Jason and Dave.  There’s Super-K and Angela.  Oh – I see Kayli and Meghan and Janice and Ruff.  Hey – there’s Kat and Matthew and I even see you!  Looks like we’re all accounted for.

Now let’s strap in and put our bits in place because  the Mutantville Mothership is about to blast off.  We’re headed for the five oblong corners of the Internet and there’s no coming back.  Since it’s easy to get lost along the way – here’s your Mutantville Signal Watch with built in Quantum Compass to help you no matter which plane of existence that you find yourself currently residing.   Here.  We. GO!!!

The Thing, T Is For Tips and The Walking Dead top the charts on Mutantville Mondays!

Addy Miller in Ghost Trek. Artwork by Chris Fulton.

It was another wild and wooly weekend aboard the Mothership as we wrapped up the final reshoot for G.H.O.S.T. and recorded the last of our foley work as well as completed the final color corrections for the movie.  On top of that we made it out to the theater to see The Thing and Halloween is still two weeks away. Scarecrow At Midnight is playing at three different festivals this month and MVP will be working on the set of Robert W. Filion’s Athena with Matthew Ewald and Vanelle all month long.  Good times ahead.

This weekend saw the release of a prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic - The Thing – eponymously titled The Thing.  The Mutantville Players made the trip to the theaters to check out the film and have returned with the complete rundown for you.

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (2011) Review

Streebo made the trip out to see the latest effort (as a producer) from Guillermo Del Toro – a remake of the 1973 film – Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.  The name “Guillermo Del Toro” is uttered with respect in the halls of the Mutantville Mothership where he is considered one of the Patron Saints of Guerrilla Filmmaking for his efforts on such genre classics as Cronos, The Devil’s Backbone, Blade II and Pan’s Labyrinth.  Guillermo Del Toro wrote and produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark which tells the story of young Sally who is sent to live with her father and his girlfriend and discovers that there is something dark and sinister living in the ancient mansion that wants to claim Sally as their own.
