C4C Webseries Project Resurrected over MVP Weekend.

C4C Webseries Project Resurrected over MVP Weekend.

Jun 3, 2013

The Mutantville Mothership was abuzz with activity over the weekend as we resumed the project of converting C for Chaos into a webseries. After quite a bit of trial and error in getting the old backup drives resurrected – we were able to get the files moved over to a new cloud drive to safely back them up for the new project. Look for updates here and there as we move forward on this project and many more at Mutantville. For the most part we will keep the bells and whistles to a minimum as we just want to complete the project in some format or another. In the meantime – check out the latest episode of MVP Mutant Radio as we discuss Star Trek Into Darkness and Star Trek The Original Series. http://traffic.libsyn.com/mvpmutantradio/Star_Trek_Into_Darkness_MVP_Mutant_Radio.mp3Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 59:27 — 54.4MB) | EmbedBecome MVP Player Subscriber iTunes | Android |...

Enter the GoPro Hero 3 Black & BBFM Vodcast on Johnny Brento’s JuJu

Apr 24, 2013

Hello Mutants, It’s Wednesday again and you know what that means. You’re darn right! It’s another Johnny Brento’s JuJu. This time I’ve taken the additional effort of setting up a conveniently placed camera to give you a visual as I dish on the latest happenings aboard the mothership for the week of April 22nd. I understand that some folks have been able to view my first Brento’s Budget Film Making VODcast, but personally, I’ve had trouble playing it back. Also it takes up so much of my Libsyn space this will probably be the rare exception as opposed to a standard format. So, to avoid losing that content on most of you, I’ve posted a Youtube version on the Mutantville Players channel which you can view below. Lastly, I’ve covered some new media in a quick Vlog for the Mutanville Youtube channel. Be sure to check that out where to hear my thoughts on the new Tom Cruise film, Oblivion, Hemlock Grove and the SciFi channel’s...

Roger Ebert buys ticket to Silver Screen in the Sky. Renowned Film Critic dies at Age 70.

Roger Ebert buys ticket to Silver Screen in the Sky. Renowned Film Critic dies at Age 70.

Apr 4, 2013

Tis a sad day indeed here on the Mutantville Mothership as word has come through the Internet Hive Mind that one of the great critics of our age Roger Ebert – has succumbed at long last in his battle with cancer. As a child I watched Ebert and partner Gene Siskel’s film review programs on television. It was one of the few way to preview movies outside of the official trailer and the only true source of critical discussion on the art of films available to me at that time. Although Ebert often derided the genre work that I so loved – he was just as quick to uphold the great examples of genre works such as John Carpenter’s Halloween, Star Wars, so on and so forth. He and partner Gene Siskel helped shape my perception of a how a film should be experienced and discussed. For that I am forever thankful.
