John Carpenter’s The Thing & James Cameron’s Aliens Double Feature Tonight!
Tonight at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, there will be a Retrofantasma Fundraiser featuring a double bill of John Carpenter’s The Thing and James Cameron’s Aliens. All year long, the Retrofantasma film series brings North Carolina the finest in cult and horror films shown in their original glorious 35mm! This weekend, they are gearing up for the Twelfth Annual Nevermore Film Festival on the 18th-20th by holding a fundraiser.
As always there will be door prizes and Mutantville.com is even donating a classic mini-poster reproduction for John Carpenter’s The Thing. Be sure to arrive early, sign up for the prizes, get double fisted with beer and grab your seat! The next thing you know, the world famous Retro Ring will be playing and from there on out we are in for a night of non-stop edge of your seat entertainment! See you there!

“Hey everyone,
Please SHOW UP EARLY for tonight’s screenings of THE THING and ALIENS. Each film is long, so we must start as close to 7pm as possible in order to stay on schedule. The box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
There are some great door prizes, including free tickets to Nevermore, but you must come early to sign up because I’ll be shutting down the table at 7pm in order to start the program on time.
Tickets for this fundraiser are $10 per person.
We tested the prints yesterday and they’re in GREAT shape, beautiful color.
