This week on Trailer Park Tuesday, we’re going to do something out of character – we’re going to talk about ourselves. I know! Crazy, right?
It’s been a long hard road from pre-production in 2009 to the conclusion of post-production at the end of 2011 for G.H.O.S.T. (2011). G.H.O.S.T. (2011) started as an idea for an original television pilot and along the way grew and morphed into a full length feature. It was a labor of love from beginning to end and was only made possible by the contributions of so many talented individuals from North Carolina and specifically the Charlotte area.
Work is still ongoing on the final score for G.H.O.S.T. but after that it’s but a few steps away from the DVD release. Beyond that we do have some cool things planned for the future so stay tuned for an official announcement soon. MVP would like to send out a round of thanks to everyone involved in the making of G.H.O.S.T. (2011).
Without all of you, it wouldn’t have been possible. So without further ado – check out the trailer for the supernatural thriller G.H.O.S.T. (2011) starring Kathy Butler Sandvoss, Matthew Ewald, Steven D. Tucker, Clint Jones, Dave Tunik, Jason Wheeley, Jack Stecher, Kayli Tolleson and more local talent than you can shake a EPK monitor at! Featuring fashion designs by Luis Machicao and special make-up FX by Todd A. Britt, you won’t believe your eyes.
Welcome back for another edition of Fridays with MVP on Mutantville.com. It’s been another busy week of post-production as the Mutantville Players have been busy with post-production in a race to get several films ready for the upcoming Nevermore Film Festival in Durham. MVP was fortunate enough to have our slasher short film Scarecrow At Midnight play at the Nevermore Festival earlier this year and we are hoping that one or more of our new films makes the cut for next year.
In G.H.O.S.T. news – the HD conversion has been a source of many headaches during post-production – but we’re still working hard to get it all to come together. Meanwhile in England, Martin Bowes is hard at work on the original new score for MVP’s full length Gothic horror. The final plans for the premiere are coming together so look for an announcement from MVP soon.
MVP is hosting a night at the movies with indie cinema tonight as Kristopher Rufty screens his latest release RAGS on the Mutantville Mothership. RAGS stars the always lovely Vanelle as a backsliding addict that sets out on a mission of revenge. Keep watching Mutantville.com for exclusive photos and reports from the screening.

It’s time for another Monday morning Mutantville Player roll call! Streebo! Geo! Brento! Toddo! No wait that’s not right. I think he’s Mega-Todd or Dr.Savini or something like that but it breaks the name-plus-o convention that we have going. Anyway – we’re all here and accounted for after another long hard weekend making the best in genre entertainment that the Planet Earth has to offer.
When I hold up my Majic Spyglass I can see all the Mutants sitting at home with us. I see Kathy and Catherine. Jason and Dave. There’s Super-K and Angela. Oh – I see Kayli and Meghan and Janice and Ruff. Hey – there’s Kat and Matthew and I even see you! Looks like we’re all accounted for.
Now let’s strap in and put our bits in place because the Mutantville Mothership is about to blast off. We’re headed for the five oblong corners of the Internet and there’s no coming back. Since it’s easy to get lost along the way – here’s your Mutantville Signal Watch with built in Quantum Compass to help you no matter which plane of existence that you find yourself currently residing. Here. We. GO!!!

Matthew Ewald and Luis Machicao make miracles happen on the set of Athena.
The Mutantville Players are in a bit of downtime as we quietly put the finishing touches on G.H.O.S.T. to get it ready for the theaters and the eventual DVD release. In between the work we’re trying to relax as Brento is off to play gigs this weekend, Geo is tangoing to a studio near you and Streebo is playing Alan Wake on XBOX 360. We’ve collected a few cool vids for you to check out for fun, reviews and more – only on Fridays with MVP!
Matthew Ewald is sad to see Athena come to an end.
MVP had another crazy weekend on the set of Image Impact Group’s Athena. Production began at the beginning of October and continued through the Halloween season – only now reaching completion in the week following Halloween. Aside from a handful of inserts that need to be picked up, principle photography has been completed.
Director Robert W. Filion has been cutting the film together during the course of production and should have the first rough assembly ready in a matter of days. Mutantville Productions would like to send out a round of congratulations to Image Impact Group, Greysun Productions and to the wonderful cast of Athena which consisted of Matthew Ewald, Vanelle, Patrick Keenan, Tommy Allen Taylor and Michael Melendez. For more information on Athena please visit the official fanpage here.
