In honor of this week’s double feature of The Shining and Lost Boys at Retrofantasma, we’ve decided to feature the classic trailer to Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. Often hailed as the greatest Stephen King adaptation of all time – yet disowned by King himself – The Shining has gone on to earn a hollowed place among the greatest horror films ever made. King went on to producer a television adaptation of his novel years later but the final result wasn’t a patch on Kubrick’s masterpiece.
Come join us for The Shining this weekend. The Carolina Theatre is still hosting their kickstarter campaign to raise funds to build an historic exhibit in the theater. Check out the kickstarter campaign now and share the link with your friends.

It’s Saturday!!! On Mutantville.com that means one thing – it’s time for Scary Movie Saturday. That means today’s the day that we find one great scary flick for you to watch this weekend and post it right here on the website! Since the found footage Space Gothic flick Apollo 18 opened at theaters across the country today AND John Carpenter’s The Ward hit DVD and Blu Ray, we thought we would honor the occasion(s) by playing The Thing From Another World.
This week on Collector’s Corner with MVP – we’ve found some nice David Cronenberg rarities on eBay. We have everything from out of print laser discs to French Lobby cards to 8×10′s and even a rare press packet! So what are you waiting for – log in to your eBay account and start bidding before these goodies disappear!
(Check out the collectables listings after the leap!)
This week on Streebo’s Mid-week B-Movie Poster Watch – we feature an A list movie with B-movie roots! It’s johnathan Demme’s masterpiece – Silence of the Lambs! This is the variation of the classic poster art – featuring Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Check it out. If you like what you see – go buy it on eBay!
Check out this great video featuring the amazing, surreal and sadomasochistic visual stylings from Clive Barker’s video game masterpiece - JERICHO. The video is in German – so you’re safe from too many spoilers – unless you speak German that is.

The Mutantville Players snagged these interviews for you back in August 2007 – just weeks prior to the release of Rob Zombie’s Halloween. Unfortunately, Scout Taylor Compton, Danielle Harris, and Lew Temple were under contract not to disclose the details of the film before the premiere. Fortunately for us – Lew Temple is a die-hard horror fan and was able to give us a bit of insight into the Rob Zombie’s Halloween as well as touch on John Carpenter’s masterpiece.
Scout Taylor Compton – Laurie Strode from Rob Zombie’s Halloween.
Danielle Harris – Annie Brackett from Rob Zombie’s Halloween.
Lew Temple – as Noel Kluggs from the director’s cut of Rob Zombie’s Halloween.
