ConCarolinas, G.H.O.S.T. and Cleve Hall make for one helluva a good con!

Welcome back to another edition of Mutantville Mondays oh faithful Mutants! ConCarolinas has come and gone and with it the festival premiere of G.H.O.S.T. We’re all basking in the glory of a very fun screening Friday night followed up by a tremendous convention all weekend long. MVP had a blast making new friends and running into a few old ones. Speaking of Old Ones – Streebo had the chance to moderate a panel on H.P.Lovecraft as well as several panels on promotion, podcasting, filmmaking and the like. It was a non-stop party from beginning to end and it warms the cockles of my heart to know that North Carolina has so many conventions and festivals that are friendly to genre filmmakers. We can’t wait to come back for next year. Get the rest of your MVP update after the leap! There be vids too. ; ) We would like to send out a round of thanks to the Mutantville Players that were able to come out and join us for the event. Kathy Butler Sandvoss, Jack Stecher, Greg G., and Todd A. Britt all helped make for a good time with good friends. We’ll have plenty of interesting stories to share from the screening but in the meantime we’ll just say that people were running in and out of the theater so fast to tell their friends about G.H.O.S.T. that even Cleve Hall of Syfy’s Monster Man came in the see what the commotion was all about. Along the way we met the great Jeffrey Combs, Cleve Hall, Gail Z. Martin and the super cute cosplayer Daphne and so many more fans and friends. Big round of thanks to Ron McClung, Carol Clowes and the rest of the staff for making ConCarolinas so fun. It’s times like this that make it all worthwhile. Thank you all for a great weekend and we’ll see you in four weeks in Kentucky for the Fright Night Film Fest with special guest Bruce Campbell!!! Prometheus is coming out this week so here’s a selection of cool Mutant TV vids to get you through your work day....

G.H.O.S.T. (2011) Haunts Trailer Park Tuesday!

This week on Trailer Park Tuesday, we’re going to do something out of character – we’re going to talk about ourselves.  I know!  Crazy, right? It’s been a long hard road from pre-production in 2009 to the conclusion of post-production at the end of 2011 for G.H.O.S.T. (2011).  G.H.O.S.T. (2011) started as an idea for an original television pilot and along the way grew and morphed into a full length feature.  It was a labor of love from beginning to end and was only made possible by the contributions of so many talented individuals from North Carolina and specifically the Charlotte area. Work is still ongoing on the final score for G.H.O.S.T. but after that it’s but a few steps away from the DVD release.  Beyond that we do have some cool things planned for the future so stay tuned for an official announcement soon.  MVP would like to send out a round of thanks to everyone involved in the making of G.H.O.S.T. (2011). Without all of you, it wouldn’t have been possible.  So without further ado – check out the trailer for the supernatural thriller G.H.O.S.T. (2011) starring Kathy Butler Sandvoss, Matthew Ewald, Steven D. Tucker, Clint Jones, Dave Tunik, Jason Wheeley, Jack Stecher, Kayli Tolleson and more local talent than you can shake a EPK monitor at!  Featuring fashion designs by Luis Machicao and special make-up FX by Todd A. Britt, you won’t believe your eyes. Watch the full trailer after the...
