Athena Wraps on Mutantville Mondays!

Matthew Ewald is sad to see Athena come to an end.

MVP had another crazy weekend on the set of Image Impact Group’s Athena.  Production began at the beginning of October and continued through the Halloween season – only now reaching completion in the week following Halloween.  Aside from a handful of inserts that need to be picked up, principle photography has been completed.

Director Robert W. Filion has been cutting the film together during the course of production and should have the first rough assembly ready in a matter of days.  Mutantville Productions would like to send out a round of congratulations to Image Impact Group, Greysun Productions and to the wonderful cast of Athena which consisted of Matthew Ewald, Vanelle, Patrick Keenan, Tommy Allen Taylor and Michael Melendez.  For more information on Athena please visit the official fanpage here.

David Hess Remembered, Paranormal Activity Returns & October Rolls On this Friday with MVP!

MVP and Image Impact Group together again.

The Mutantville Players are off to the set of Robert W. Filion’s Athena again this weekend.  We’re helping Image impact Group all month long and it’s been a great shoot so far.  We’re one week away from the private cast and crew screening of G.H.O.S.T. and all we have left to do is slide all of the final sound and FX pieces into place.  It’s going to be so much fun to share the final product with all of our friends for Halloween.

In the midst of all of this creative activity – we still find the time to bring you reviews, articles, interviews and special features that you won’t find anywhere else!  Speaking of interviews – - I hear there’s a brand new interview with John Carpenter coming to Mutant TV very soon!

The Thing, T Is For Tips and The Walking Dead top the charts on Mutantville Mondays!

Addy Miller in Ghost Trek. Artwork by Chris Fulton.

It was another wild and wooly weekend aboard the Mothership as we wrapped up the final reshoot for G.H.O.S.T. and recorded the last of our foley work as well as completed the final color corrections for the movie.  On top of that we made it out to the theater to see The Thing and Halloween is still two weeks away. Scarecrow At Midnight is playing at three different festivals this month and MVP will be working on the set of Robert W. Filion’s Athena with Matthew Ewald and Vanelle all month long.  Good times ahead.

This weekend saw the release of a prequel to John Carpenter’s 1982 classic - The Thing – eponymously titled The Thing.  The Mutantville Players made the trip to the theaters to check out the film and have returned with the complete rundown for you.

Legends II, Athena and Retrofantasma Returns on Fridays with MVP!

Matthew Ewald and Bones McCoy on the set of Robert W. Filion's Athena.

Welcome back to another wild and whooly edition of Fridays with MVP, oh my faithful mutants.  It’s been a crazy month for MVP so far as the Mutantville Players have been deep in the trenches of post-production working on final post for G.H.O.S.T. to get ready for our upcoming private cast and crew screening on October 30th.  The footage looks great, the sound is coming along and we’ve just cut a deal with the great Martin Bowes of Attrition to compose the final score for our little supernatural thriller.

We’re super busy this month so there’s little time for updates.  We’re going to leave you with a few videos and pics to give you an idea of what’s happening in the world of horror here in North Carolina and beyond while we get back making movie magic – or is that MAJIC!  Party on.  Make something great.  Do the impossible.  It’s all within your grasp.  This public service announcement has been brought to you by Streebo.

Ghost Trek Wins Corman Award for “Best Comedy” & More on Mutantville Monday!

Welcome back to Mutantville Mondays my lovely mutants!  We’re still terribly busy aboard the Mutantville Mothership so there’s little time for updates.  In case you have been under a rock on the moon for the past week, the Mutantville Players just returned from the Fright Night Film Fest and Fandom Fest in Louisville, Kentucky. To celebrate we’ve decided to launch the new Mutantville Productions fanpage on Facebook.

Facebook changed the rules on groups over the past few months so we’ve decided that the fanpage is the best operation model for Facebook. To that end, we’re giving you one place to go on Facebook when you need to know about MVP. We’re doing our best to give you one stop horror and science fiction shopping no matter where you are on the worldwide-web. Be sure to “like” the new fanpage because we’re going to be loading it with more videos and exclusive interviews than a bantha can carry!

NC CHARLOTTE FILM COMMUNITY NEWS!!!
