Suspend disbelief? Really?
People that know me will recognize the image above as one of the movies that I had the hardest time suspending disbelief on. Before people start in on me (Filion!!!), I understand that you have to suspend disbelief to a certain extent when watching movies. I know…it’s hard to believe that there isn’t a Mogwai named Gizmo and there isn’t a planet of Ewoks either. But…when I watch these movies, I can let that go because I know it’s fantasy…no big deal.
The big difference is when you’re driving down the road and you see someone dumping what you think is bodies down a well (spoiler…but same spoilers are in the trailer)…do you really go back and look? The answer is no. The funny thing is that they say that in the film, but still.
I’m going to make this post more interactive because surely I can’t be the only one that watches movies and has a tough time letting stuff like this go. Any movies that make you say, “Oh come on!” or “Really?” or “No one would be stupid enough to do that!” What are some of these movies for you?
Here is the teaser trailer if you haven’t seen it or if it’s been a while.

See Avatar In Theaters
I can’t remember the last time I spent 2:35 in a theater riveted like I was watching Avatar today. This film simply has to be seen in a theater to be believed. A truly beautiful film with a touching story of sci fi fantasy. johnny B heralds this one an instant classics. Don’t miss it in theaters.
