Killuride Film Festival screening Scarecrow at Midnight in honor of Streeborama.

On the set of Scarecrow at Midnight at the Myers House NC.

Welcome back to another edition of Streeborama, oh friends and fiends. I hope you’re enjoying your Streebo-less week of MVP as I am currently out of the country on a secret government mission to discover the lost mines of Kilamanjaru. Actually I’m gone for the week to celebrate with my family as my sister gets married so I’ve had to leave the keys to the MVP kingdom in the hands of Geo and Brento. Let us know what you think of how they handled things while I was away.

Since Scarecrow at Midnight is playing at the Killuride Film Festival this weekend in Myrtle Beach I thought I would share some thoughts on that particular work and what it means to me. In case you’re not familiar with XCON and the Killuride film Festival then check out their fanpage on Facebook for more information.

Charlotte Film Anarchists coming to Queen City on May 31st.

The Charlotte Film Anarchists want you to show us what you're made of!

CHARLOTTE, NC — It’s hard to believe that the Charlotte Film Anarchists mastermind group has come together so quickly in the span of one week. The brainchild of Ghost Trek creator Michael Plumides and MVP maestro J.T.McRoberts, the CFA open group on Facebook already boasts over 750 members consisting of actors, directors, musicians, writers, and artists. The swell in support shows that the filmmakers in the area want to get together with others that are being proactive about making movies in the Charlotte area and beyond. This mastermind group will give everyone a chance to not only learn from others who have had success in the industry but to talk to their fellow filmmakers who are currently struggling to see how we can all help each other. The best part is that it won’t cost anyone a dime to attend.

Johnny Brento’s Got Something to Say About G.H.O.S.T., Poster Design and Muticia the Movie Goddess

Hey all, your friendly neighborhood design guru couldn’t let uncle Streebo have all the fun on the Poster Tips video, so I’ve made a part 2. Check it out after the leap as they say.

What a month for MVP. So many things a poppin. The Mad Monster Party Film Fest which has thus far got a great response will be going live in 2 short weeks. Very exciting stuff and some very entertaining films I hope you all will make it out to see.

After that Monster weekend, we’ll be, at long last sneaking into Muticia’s Movie Morgue for the filming of the first episode on March 31st. If any of you MVP Players would like to help out on the set of what is surely to be a fun little show, please message Jamie McRoberts on Facebook!

I know I’ve mentioned it previously, but Holy Crap, is that score for G.H.O.S.T. Amazing!!!!! I can’t wait for everyone to behold it! Soon, my mutants. Soon!

The MVP Guide To The Galaxy, The Walking Dead and The Immortals Rule on Mutantville Mondays!

AZ is down with MVP. Absolute Zero circa 2011.

It’s time for another Monday morning Mutantville Player roll call!  Streebo!  Geo!  Brento!  Toddo!  No wait that’s not right.  I think he’s Mega-Todd or Dr.Savini or something like that but it breaks the name-plus-o convention that we have going.  Anyway – we’re all here and accounted for after another long hard weekend making the best in genre entertainment that the Planet Earth has to offer.

When I hold up my Majic Spyglass I can see all the Mutants sitting at home with us.  I see Kathy and Catherine.  Jason and Dave.  There’s Super-K and Angela.  Oh – I see Kayli and Meghan and Janice and Ruff.  Hey – there’s Kat and Matthew and I even see you!  Looks like we’re all accounted for.

Now let’s strap in and put our bits in place because  the Mutantville Mothership is about to blast off.  We’re headed for the five oblong corners of the Internet and there’s no coming back.  Since it’s easy to get lost along the way – here’s your Mutantville Signal Watch with built in Quantum Compass to help you no matter which plane of existence that you find yourself currently residing.   Here.  We. GO!!!
