Torgo’s Drive In brings you this week’s selection for Scary Movie Saturday: Simon King of the Witches and Werewolves on Wheels.
The greatest psychotronic drive-in double bill of all time was ‘Simon, King Of The Witches’ and ‘Werewolves on Wheels’ in 1971. Both these films are now rare and very hard to find; in particular, old used VHS copies of Simon, King Of The Witches go for a respectable sum on ebay. This is Episode #10 of Torgo’s Drive-in. It’s our first double bill and also our first higher quality resolution video. This episode also features the full drive-in experience: you get concession stand shorts as well as trailers and previews for such drive-in classics as I Drink Your Blood, I Eat Your Skin, Blood Freak, and Mad Doctor Of Blood Island. This episode of Torgo’s Drive-in is rated “PG” for violence (1970′s style), drug references, and brief partial nudity. This episode is dedicated to everyone who has supported Torgo’s Drive-in and the work of Euterpe Jones. Thanks for everything, everybody! Lots of LOVE! ENJOY! xoxo
What are you waiting for? It’s a double feature! It’s free! It’s Scary Movie Saturday!!!

This week on Mutantville.com’s Collectors Corner we bring you two very neat vintage horror collectibles. First up we have the very cool and very rare VHS for Rawhead Rex! Rawhead Rex was based on a Clive Barker story of the same name.
Although it is worth noting that there were significant changes from the short story to the movie – there were several shocking moments that made the leap to celluloid in their full on blasphemous glory. Rawhead Rex still has not been given a proper DVD release in the States so that makes VHS it’s only viable format. This is a real steal for any Clive Barker fan worth his salt. Place your bid or buy it now by visiting eBay at this link.
For the poster hunters out there we bring you the one-sheet to Brian DePalma’s The Fury! Check it out on eBay by clicking here. The Fury starred Andrew Stevens, Kirk Douglas, and John Cassavettes. The one sheet is of Turkish desgin and is full of retro movie poster win!

This week on the Collector’s Corner, we’re watching a rare and wild poster from Turkey! It doesn’t get any wierder and wilder than the original video nasty. That’s right – we’re talking about the Evil Dead!!! So listen up you primitive screwheads! If you’re a crazy collector like me – and I know you are – then pop on over to eBay and put this bad boy on your watch list before it’s gone. Nothing says “horror fan” like Evil Dead and nothing is cooler than having a bizarro alternative print from another country and that includes this Turkish delight. Check it out at the link below:
EDIT: My good friend Jon Kitley at Kitley’s Krypt notified me that this is not even a Turkish poster – it’s actually Thai! That makes this poster even wilder. Check out Kitley’s Krypt here.

This week – Streebo’s B-movie poster watch takes a look at the classic poster art for the “based on a atrue story” horror film that shocked the nation in the late Seventies – The Amityville Horror! This spooky poster features the classic evil house taking up the entirety of the composition – with the classic tag line screaming down the middle of the poster, “for God’s sake, get out!” This simple design does it’s job well by creating a tone of dread by using the imposing image of the house juxtaposed against the urgency of the tagline. If you like what you see – this poster can be yours! Follow the link below to eBay and place your bid now!

This week on Streebo’s Mid-week B-Movie Poster Watch – we feature an A list movie with B-movie roots! It’s johnathan Demme’s masterpiece – Silence of the Lambs! This is the variation of the classic poster art – featuring Anthony Hopkins as Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Check it out. If you like what you see – go buy it on eBay!
I use eBay to track down rare, exciting, cheesy or just plain bad posters from time to time. I rarely buy anything – but I enjoy watching them. I’ve decided to share a few of these images with you. Today’s watched poster is the atrocious The Night of Bloody Horror one-sheet! I just love how some designer somewhere thought that all this poster needed was a skull face wearing a Tina Turner wig – and voila! Instant TERROR!!!
From eBay: You will enjoy this 11″ x 17″ Style B print featuring 1969 The Night of Bloody Horror . Perfect for your home or office! Also makes a great gift.
