Harlan Ellison's Demon With A Glass Hand - one of the most memorable episodes. Art from evilking.net
There’s a lot of activity going on behind the scenes on the Mutantville Mothership this week. I originally thought to do another Streebo v-log for Streeborama today because I have a lot of things I want to get off my chest about indie filmmaking and horror fandom in general. I was tied up doing readings last night for an upcoming project at MVP so I didn’t have time to shoot my incindiary v-log yet.
Instead, I am going to share a gentler, kinder video of my Outer Limits unboxing. Back at Halloween I scored a complete set of the original Outer Limits television show on VHS. I shot the special unboxing to share the sights and sounds of it all with you.
I’ll work on my crazy v-log for next week – but this week you can enjoy a nice gentle unboxing. Cheers to ya.
This week I thought I’d take the opportunity to promote an upcoming project for my friend, bandmate and fellow MVP’r, Jeremy Mullis. About 8 months ago Jeremy shared his first attempt at short film with me, shot on an extremely low res camera and loosely edited. He called it, “Black Magic.” Even with the technical limitations, I found the concept interesting and encouraged Jeremy to expand the story beyond a single character in the original and to put it into proper script format. In short, he’s done that and is ready to put the people and resource together to shoot the film.
Speaking of the high concept, here it is. A young man, seeking to become powerful & rich, obtains an ancient demonic manuscript and attempts to summon a hellish demon to do his biding. He gets more than he’s bargaining for.
Here’s where you come in. So here are the facts as I know them. The film will require a cast of 3 actors and as many crew members as we can find to lend a hand. Two males & one female who can portray 17 – 22. The shoot should entail a single Saturday or Sunday once the locations are secure. The casting will be via individual reads either. This would be a no budget project, so there would be no pay to any participants, but you would be helping out an awesome guy who’s always been quick to help out on all of our projects.
As of now there’s no schedule as the final tweaks are still being put on the script. Jeremy hopes to shoot within the next few months. If you are interested in being a part of “Black Magic” either as an actor or a crew member, shoot Jeremy Mullis via facebook.
Hopefully, you all will have another rocking MVP week!

Streebo has posted a few notes on the site about my web series, RESPAWNER. To be fair, it’s a 1 minute short film at this point. There’s been some nice buzz generated among the Mutantville Players about doing a web series in 2010 dedicated to the character I’ve created.
About The Show
“What if an undercover police officer could RESPAWN into an invincible demon with powers only limited by her imagination whenever she is murdered?”
The lovely and talented Sylvia Burris plays the lead role of Lexi Bowman, an undercover police officer with an incredible, secret super power.
Over the course of 10 or so 5 minute episodes she will face amazing super villains in a Bad guy of the week format.
I’ll be sharing more about this new project as the post production for G.H.O.S.T. draws to a close. At present this is soley a Brento project as it just sort of birthed itself organically from a 1 minute test film. If you think that this should be the next MUTANTVILLE effort, why not share your thoughts with good ole uncles Streebo and Geo Swanko by using the Contact Us function here on the website. There is no “I” in team – but there is an eye in meat pie as the saying goes.
In any case, I hope you enjoy the test film.
Written in 20 minutes, shot in about an hour, edited in about 6 hours, this test film (yes I know purist don’t like to hear video called “Film” sorry Streebo) was designed and created as a reel builder for Sylvia Burris, my new side kick, or rather, the person to whom I play sidekick most of the time here lately.
Sylvia, Jeremy and I worked hard on this little ditty so please leave us a comment and a rating on YouTube and subscribe to my channel.

From Fear.net: Some say that clowns get a bad rap. Theory being that a few bad apples have used the guise of the otherwise trustworthy buffoon for their own maniacal missions, trading in red noses and balloon animals for killer candy and deadly ice cream.
So what do you think? Are they misunderstood friends to children and favorites of circus-lovers everywhere or rainbow-clothed jesters of Satan? Check out our list of the most evil clowns around and you be the judge. But beware when they knock you dead, they really knock you dead.
Violator – Spawn
Short on height, but big on girth, this demon-turned clown wants nothing more than to enlist some souls into Satan’s army.
