Scanners (1981) poster.
David Cronenberg is one of our favorite horror filmmakers of all time. No other filmmaker’s work quite captured the disturbing visceral quality of his works. One of the his most memorable one sheets comes from the 1981 films Scanners.
I remember hanging out at my buddy Kirk’s down the street. His family had a room with a pool table and over it hung the classic one sheet for Scanners. Kirk’s older brother was always watching horror films and had plastered posters in the rec room as well as his own room. None of them stood out the way the Scanners one sheet did. It haunted me for years and now you have a chance to bring it home.
The bargain hunters and mad collectors at MVP have discovered an eBay auction for a nice French Scanners one sheet. Bid now and hang it over your pool table later.

Halloween III (1982)
The San Diego Reader apparently has the Collector’s Corner hookup because they periodically post alternate and rejected versions of movie one sheets. This week – they have shared a horror film lover’s delight with an alternate design for the Halloween III Season of the Witch one sheet.
Normally we like to post links to auctions where rabid collectors like ourselves can bid on the items in question. Unfortunately this particular one sheet is so rare that you will most likely never see it for sale – anywhere. But that’s the joy of collecting isn’t it? Trying to find that impossible to find item makes life worth living. Well now Halloween III fans have a nice Holy Grail they can chase after. Check it out after the leap!

It's Alive!

It’s Wednesday, Hump Day, or Cut Your Boss Into Little Tiny Pieces And Hide Them In A Box Day! That last one – maybe not so much – but on Mutantville.com, Wednesday means Collector’s Corner! This week, we have found some sweet rarities from the mind of Clive Barker!
Barker’s work has been a huge influence on the Mutantville Players and we even had the honor of meeting him this past year. It pleases us to no end to share the sight of these little goodies with you! Greetings oh collectors of the arcane! This week, your humble narrator has made a fascinating discovery on the eBay. I found no less than five listings for rare acetate reproductions of classic pages from Berni Wrightson’s Frankenstein, Swamp Thing and even a Giordano page for Tomb of Dracula!

This week – Streebo’s B-movie poster watch takes a look at the classic poster art for the “based on a atrue story” horror film that shocked the nation in the late Seventies – The Amityville Horror! This spooky poster features the classic evil house taking up the entirety of the composition – with the classic tag line screaming down the middle of the poster, “for God’s sake, get out!” This simple design does it’s job well by creating a tone of dread by using the imposing image of the house juxtaposed against the urgency of the tagline.
