North Carolina’s number one source for horror – MUTANTVILLE.COM is joining forces with the MAD MONSTER PARTY to host the 1st ANNUAL MAD MONSTER FILM FEST this March 23 – 25th. At the Mad Monster Party at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, NC, filmmakers will have their work screened for a ravenous audience of horror fans, PLUS – you never know what Hollywood movie royalty might pop in to enjoy a screening. In attendance at the Mad Monster Party will be stars:

RUTGER HAUER (Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Batman Begins), BRAD DOURIF (One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Exorcist 3, Child’s Play, Lord of the Rings), ACE FREHLEY (Legendary Rock icon) DEE WALLACE (E.T., The Howling, Cujo, Critters, The Frighteners), ROWDY RODDY PIPER (Wrestling Legend, They Live), LINDA BLAIR (The Exorcist, Savage Streets), JOE TURKEL (The Shining, Blade Runner), MARKY RAMONE (The Ramones, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School), RICHARD MOLL (“Bull” from Night Court, House) and many, MANY more well known fiendish faces.

From the zombie-trendsetter NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD to Sci-Fi cult fave DARK STAR to EVIL DEAD (the Sam Raimi star-maker) and beyond – independent filmmakers have always been the lifeblood of speculative fiction. Today Mutantville.com and Mad Monster Party are on a mission to discover the future stars of independent filmmaking – and this means YOU! We are currently accepting submissions for the best in horror, science fiction or fantasy films. Short and full-length features will be accepted. Entries will be judged on originality and craft with awards and valuable prizes given for the best in each category. There is NO FEE for entry.
Submissions must be received no later than March 2nd, 2012.
