John Dies at the End and Maniac & Zombie Double Feature This Week in the World of MVP!

Welcome back, faithful Mutants! It’s a hectic time here on the Mutantville Mothership as we are in the final countdown to the deadline for the Second Annual Mad Monster Party Film Festival this March! The MVP P.O.Box has been flooded with submissions and we’re working around the clock to view them all and give them the proper consideration.

This is a great week for genre fans here in North Carolina as a selection of fantastic films will be screened across the state. It all starts Thursday night with the Back Alley Film Series at the Charlotte Crownpoint Theater with a special one night only theatrical screening of Don Coscarelli’s John Dies At The End! It’s been over ten years since Coscarelli had a film play in theaters (with Bubba Ho Tep) so don’t miss out on this rare opportunity!

Then on Friday night – head on over to Durham and the Carolina Theatre for a night of Retrofantasma with a special Grindhouse double feature of Maniac (1980) and Zombie (1979)!!! That’s Joe Spinell’s sleazeterpiece and Fulci’s gut munching monstrosity in one mind rending night! It doesn’t get any better than that so don’t miss out!!!
